The kid-sized door back to the games is the arrow. Everything on this page is for you.
What is Athena's Palace Kids?
A small collection of games made with love for very young children — especially the 2½–4 crowd. Every game is designed around how little kids actually play: one finger, no reading, no losing, no pressure, lots of cause and effect, and plenty of cheering.
It's part of Athena's Palace, an independent game world. The Playground is its quiet, tiny-hands corner.
❤️ Help kids in need
The Playground is free, forever. If it made your little one smile and you'd like to pass that smile along, these organizations do real, direct good for children who need it most. Each link goes straight to the charity — we take nothing, and we get nothing.
Best on a tablet, right on the fridge… we mean home screen
The Playground works offline once it has loaded, so it's great for car rides and waiting rooms. Add it to the home screen and it opens full-screen like an app:
iPad / iPhone: Share button → Add to Home Screen.
Android: Menu (⋮) → Add to Home screen (or "Install app").
Make a balloon party
Choose a color and a round, star, or rainbow balloon. Three pumps make a big balloon; tapping the growing balloon earlier sends a smaller one to the party. An empty spot also makes a balloon with one tap.
Tap or sweep to pop. Tap an outline or the return arrow to inflate the saved designs again. The music button makes the party dance. Designs and a partly inflated balloon stay on this device. Balloons never float away.
A railway to build and revisit
Train Time's little tunnel picture opens a toy railway from the first visit. Choose a color and a bridge, tunnel, or animal station, then tap a spot on the loop. Dragging a piece works too. The train hops over bridges, echoes at tunnels, and hears a hello at each animal station.
The pause picture parks the train; the arrow with a train returns to the animal outings. An eraser removes one chosen piece. The six building spots and color choices stay in this browser, and an unfinished outing waits while your child builds. Clearing browser data clears these creations.
Backyard ball play
Backyard Ball has a goal, a basketball hoop, and soft bowling pins. Tap the ball or the field to play; dragging can preview a path, but precise aiming is not needed. An animal friend returns the ball after each turn.
The ball picture changes its style. Activity and ball choices, standing pins, and the flowers from first successes stay on this device. A finished bowling rack waits until your child chooses another turn. There is no timer or score to beat.
A picnic with farm friends
Peekaboo Farm keeps the animals your child finds. The basket opens a picnic, even before finishing a round. Choose an apple, carrot, or berries, then tap a friend; dragging a snack works too. Every choice is welcome.
Tap the ball to pass it, or choose the ball picture and tap a friend. Friends return it. The arrow visits more discovered animals, and the barn returns to hide-and-seek. After finding all five, the curved arrow starts another hiding round. Nothing hides again on a timer.
Discoveries, chosen snacks, ball-play flowers, and flowers planted in the farm stay in this browser. Friends from earlier rounds still join the picnic. Clearing browser data clears these keepsakes.
Counting together on a little ferry
Counting Ducks lets your child choose which friends ride. Tap a friend's picture to hop aboard or return to the jetty; dragging a picture to the boat also boards them. Duck, chick, and frog pictures choose three families, each keeping its own favorite crew. Any number of friends can ride, including none.
The bell counts the friends aboard, one at a time, with matching picture badges and sounds. Reading numerals is optional. Tap the waterwheel or lily fountain to visit; tap the boat or triangle to repeat the chosen outing. More friends make more fountain jets and change the waterwheel's paddles and speed. The boat comes back to the jetty after playing.
Repeated taps keep a ride moving. Choosing the other toy redirects it. Crews, favorite destinations, and flowers from visits stay in this browser. Each family's first arrival earns one star; counting and repeat rides keep playing without extra awards. Returning opens the boat ready at the jetty.
Animal pairs at your child's pace
Peek & Pair starts with two pairs and all pictures showing. The eye picture hides or reveals the animals for memory play. The three card pictures choose two, three, or four pairs; each board keeps its own progress.
Tap two matching animals to bring them together. Matched friends stay available for little duets. The two-friends play picture starts a parade, and tapping the dancing animals makes them answer. A finished board stays until your child chooses its curved arrow. New boards introduce unfamiliar animals first and keep the chosen size.
Boards, found pairs, a selected card, and the picture-help choice stay in this browser. Clearing browser data clears them. A memory clue gently reveals the selected animal's partner after a quiet pause; it never chooses the pair for your child.
Your little builder's crane yard
Big Trucks' crane picture opens a place to build freely. Choose a block, roof, arch, or bridge beam, then tap the sand. Dragging from a picture works too. The color wheel changes the next piece's color.
The bulldozer knocks the creation down; the purple arrow undoes a step, including a bulldozer sweep after returning. The truck picture returns to town. Starting a new town keeps the yard. Creations stay in this browser; clearing browser data clears them.
Mix colors and keep a toy shelf
Color Splash opens a paint workshop. Tap red, yellow, blue, or white jars to mix their colors in the bowl. Dragging a jar to the bowl also works. Tap the big toy to paint it and see it play.
The grid opens eight toys to choose from. The triangle plays a toy again. The water drop empties the mixing bowl while keeping the painted toys; the curved arrow undoes a mix or paint choice. One undo is kept for a return visit. Paint and toy choices stay in this browser.
The magnifying glass opens color matching, and the bowl picture returns to the workshop. All toys and paints are available from the start.
Your little artist's picture book
Finger Paint saves pictures on this device. The roller opens a fresh page and keeps the previous drawing; the picture button opens the book to paint on it again. The curved arrow undoes the last mark, and another tap brings it back.
The stamp picture shows a truck, dinosaur, star, and heart together, with six colors beneath them. Tap a shape or color, then tap or sweep across the paper. Each trail keeps the chosen shape and color. The stamp picture remembers that choice for a return visit; it also opens and closes the picker.
To remove a picture, open the book, tap its bin, and complete the grown-up hold. A red book icon means saving needs help; removing an older picture can free space. Clearing browser data also clears the picture book.
Night Light keeps a star sky too. After tucking the boy in, the moon opens a place to make colored stars. Tap or sweep to add them; tap a star to hear it and apply the selected color. The arrow undoes a drawing gesture, or removes the last star after returning. Starting another night keeps the sky.
Your little musician's songbook
Animal Band keeps up to 24 short tunes on this device. Tap the animals to make a song, the play picture to hear it, and the new-page picture to start another while keeping the first. Pip leads a full-band concert too.
To remove a song, choose it from the book, reopen the book, then tap its bin and complete the grown-up hold. An orange book means it is full or saving needs help. Clearing browser data also clears these songs.
